Tax Prep Tools

Tax time is here again! This year, you can file with tax prep help at Greenwich Library.

Free tax prep help will be available with the AARP Foundation every Saturday from 9:30 am – 1:00 pm from February 3 through April 13 with volunteer tax preparers. This year, appointments are NOT required. The signup sheet for service will be managed accordingly by the AARP volunteers. You may be asked to return at a future date if the volunteer tax preparers are already at capacity for the day.

All patrons are welcome to take advantage of this service, not just AARP-eligible members. Please bring a photo ID and all income information, W-2s, and last year’s tax return.

Tax assistance will be held on the second floor of the Greenwich Main Library. Please bring a photo ID, Social Security cards, your 2022 tax documents, and last year’s tax return.

Greenwich Library has tax forms available. Stop by a Greenwich Library desk or Reading Room to pick up your forms. You can access all the forms you need to complete here:

If you need your CT Tax forms mailed, please call the DRS at (860) 297-5962 or (800) 382-9463.

Our Reference Librarians will be happy to answer any questions you might have about these offerings and more. Visit us during Library opening hours for further assistance.

Greenwich Library staff are equipped and eager to help you, whatever your needs are. Whether you’d like personalized book recommendations, one-on-one help to set up a personal device, tinker with a laser engraver, or get connected to the Wi-Fi, Library staff can help. For more information, go to and use the online chat service during Library hours.
