Music Collection

The Music Collection at Greenwich Library includes books, magazines, sound recordings, music scores, libretti, electronic databases and streaming audio/visual media. The Library shelves hold more than 26,000 CDs from all genres, which can be enjoyed at listening stations. Streaming and downloadable music are also available for cardholders.

Peterson Concert: Peter Serkin

Peter Serkin in Recital programOn Sunday, November 25 at 3:30 pm, as part of the Library’s Peterson Concert Series, hear pianist Peter Serkin in recital. Serkin holds a singular place among today’s classical music artists, admired equally for his performance of established repertoire and as a consummate interpreter of contemporary music. Open to all at no charge. General seating in effect.

Music Periodicals Collection

The Greenwich Library Music periodicals collections features a variety of titles, including popular titles like Rolling Stone, Down Beat and Billboard to more specialized titles such as Opera News, Modern Drummer and much more. This collection is housed on the second floor across from the CD’s. Current issues are for browsing in the library. Back issues can be checked out for one week with no renewals.

Greenwich Library Concert Series

The Library hosts many concerts throughout the year. The Friends Cole Concert series and Peterson Concert series feature a wide variety of performers and musical styles.
