Greenwich Townscape: Celebrating America 250

A Collaborative Photo Mural

Take part in creating a giant photo collage celebrating the history and character of Greenwich! Anyone can submit photos of Greenwich to be included in this artwork. Guided by artist Rashmi Talpade, participants will use photo prints to create a unique townscape collage inspired by the architecture and spirit of Greenwich. Collage sessions will take place throughout the Spring at locations around town.

THE FINISHED ART PIECE WILL BE PUBLICLY DISPLAYED AT GREENWICH LIBRARY IN SUMMER 2026.

How to Participate

  1. Upload your photos (January 28-May 15)
  2. Attend collage sessions around town (March-May)
  3. Come see the finished artwork! (July)

About the Artist

Rashmi Talpade, based in Wallingford, Connecticut, is an accomplished artist known for her innovative photo-collages constructed from hundreds of her photographs. Her work transforms everyday scenes into compelling visual narratives. Rashmi has led numerous largescale grant supported community collage projects at schools, libraries, hospitals, and cultural institutions. A recipient of a Connecticut Commission on the Arts fellowship, her award winning collages are included in the New Britain Museum of American Art and several public and private collections.
