The Library’s regular Drop-in Computer Lab is offered three times each week: on Saturdays and Tuesdays at 11 a.m., and Thursdays at 3 p.m..
Get hands-on assistance with new gadgets, downloading eBooks and audiobooks using OverDrive, Library databases, Microsoft Office, Internet search, email, online forms, social media, job search, basic computing and more with Library staff.
NEW! Help is now available on Tuesdays for nonprofit managers with questions on annual giving, grants and email/social media outreach.
Bilingual assistance in Spanish is available at most labs. Use your own device or practice with ours.
Sponsored by the American Job Center, the Career Coach mobile classroom visits Greenwich Library monthly to offer job skills training. The Career Coach bus is equipped with 10 PC work stations and Internet access and is parked outside the Library’s West Putnam Avenue entrance.
Career Coach visits Greenwich Library the 2nd Wednesday of every month. Two-hour workshops are offered for Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint, and Access. Career Coach is sponsored by CTWorks. No advanced registration. Seating is first come first seated. Sign up begins at 9:30am at the West Putnam Ave Library entrance.

Training Center Tutorials
Lynda is an online educational site that includes over 3,000 courses (and over 130,000 videos) in popular fields like web design, IT, education/instruction, media production, and business. Experts create and deliver all courses as well as provide supplemental materials like exercise files and relevant work samples. Create an account to track progress, create playlists, and keep notes.
Note: You can only access course content through the Greenwich Library’s lynda.com login page, do not login via the lynda.com homepage. Lynda.com accounts are accessible through mobile device browsers, but not through lynda.com apps.
Goals of the Technology Training Center are:
- to be a valuable technological resource to all participants regardless of their level of knowledge of computers and technology;
- to provide an environment in which participants will feel comfortable exploring and learning a variety of new technologies;
- to provide the technological and intellectual tools necessary to utilize the computer;
- to empower participants with a better understanding of today’s technology;
- to integrate the participant’s lives with technology in an effort to better prepare them for today’s and tomorrow’s library environment.
