The 2026 Opening Night Celebration features a performance by legendary modern dance company Ailey II in the Berkley Theater, followed by a celebratory cocktail party and grazing dinner catered by Marcia Selden in the Library, with dancers from the company joining the festivities.

All funds raised from the event support the 2026-2027 season of performing arts programs, including a public performance by Ailey II on October 3rd, and a yearlong array of extraordinary cultural and educational experiences. All programs are free and accessible to the entire Greenwich Library community.
