A great time was had by all at Greenwich Library’s Opening Night Celebration on October 14, 2022. The evening featured a world-class performance by the Martha Graham Dance Company in the newly renovated Berkley Theater. A celebratory cocktail party in the Library’s Reading Room followed the performance. Dancers from the company joined the festivities.
Funds from this inaugural event are being used to support the upcoming season of programs in the Berkley Theater, including the two public MGDC performances that were held on October 15th, plus a yearlong array of extraordinary cultural and educational experiences. All programs are free and accessible to the entire Greenwich Library community.
To create additional awareness of the special performances on October 15, Greenwich Library partnered with local non-profits to support outreach to their clients and members.
