In celebration of March’s Women’s History Month, Performing Arts Librarian teamed up with Library Innovation Lab Specialist Will Gray to create Greenwich Library’s own version of the Fearless Girl, the bronze sculpture by artist Kristen Visbal, originally installed on Wall Street in March 2017. The original statue depicts a girl, four feet tall in height and is an icon of female empowerment. Now, Greenwich Library has its own eight-inch-high Fearless Girl, 3D-style!
Will created the 3D statue using the Library’s own Ultimaker 3 printer with CC3D silk metallic antique gold filament. Check out the video below to see the Ultimaker 3 in action:
