Annual Events

‘Share Your Story’ is a collaborative effort to collect the histories of the people who live in our community. The annual Tree Lighting in December and Open House before the Anniversary Celebration provide community fellowship and fun.

Arts & Music

The Friends provide many arts-related activities – including movies, musical evenings, and crafts workshops – with light refreshments before many of the programs. The artwork of local artists is often exhibited in our Community Room.

Cooking

Once a month, Saturday morning cooking demonstrations offer a delicious introduction to other cultures and healthy menus. Presenters are often chosen from the community to share special family dishes.

The Friends provide wonderful programming thanks to donations from friends and neighbors like you. Please make a secure tax-deductible donation. Please consider making a recurring monthly donation.

Children Reading

Family & Kids Activities

Weekend craft workshops involve families in fun and interesting take-home projects. School vacation-week programs in the winter and spring offer a variety of programs for learning – and fun.

Chess for players of every level and ability is a monthly feature.

Gardening

The Friends invite everyone to monthly gardening workshops on a variety of topics, led by a local horticulturist. Everyone who participates gets a plant to take home and enjoy. The Seed Lending Library contains organic flower and vegetable seeds to circulate and plant at home.

Health & Wellness

The health of our community is important to the Friends. Lectures on a variety of subjects from medical to philosophical occur through the year. Tai Chi and Yoga workshops for adults and children encourage physical activity.
