Planned Giving

Planned Giving

Create a Legacy: The Elizabeth Milbank Anderson Society

We hope you’ll consider including a gift to Greenwich Library in your will or living trust or naming Greenwich Library as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement assets. When you make a legacy gift, you become a member of the Elizabeth Milbank Anderson Society.  Your gift will create a legacy to help ensure the Library will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Member names will be included in the Annual Report unless you prefer to remain anonymous.

Bequests

To make a charitable bequest for Greenwich Library, simply include a statement in your will or revocable trust agreement along the following lines:

I give and bequest (amount or percentage of bequest), to Greenwich Library, a charitable organization with offices in Greenwich, Connecticut, for its general tax-exempt purposes.”

Retirement Assets

The most tax-effective gift you can make at death is a bequest of your retirement plans such as pension funds or IRAs.  You should consult with your own legal advisors before adding this or any charitable bequest to your will, trust agreement, or retirement account.

If you have questions about planned gifts to the Library, or if you would like to notify the Library of an intended bequest, please contact:
