The Music Collection at Greenwich Library includes books, magazines, sound recordings, music scores, libretti, electronic databases, and streaming. The Library has more than 26,000 CDs available from all genres, which can be enjoyed at listening stations. Streaming and downloadable music are also available for cardholders.

Want to explore your love of music at home? Use Great Courses to get lessons from experts, such as how a simple group of four guitar chords enables you to play hundreds of songs.

Music Magazines

Greenwich Library’s music magazine collection features a variety of titles, including popular ones like Rolling Stone, Down Beat, and Billboard to more specialized titles such as Opera News and Modern Drummer.

This collection can be found on the 2nd floor near the CDs. Current issues are for in-Library browsing and back issues can be checked out for one week with no renewals.

If you prefer to read on your digital device, check out OverDrive Magazines which features an assortment of music magazines that you can download.

Greenwich Library Concert Series

The Library hosts many concerts throughout the year. The Friends Cole Concert Series and Peterson Concert series feature a wide variety of performers and musical styles. The Ashforth Children’s series brings renowned performers in live concerts for the youngest of listeners and the Byram and Cos Cob libraries also offer a wide range of music programs.
