Ray Bradbury At 2004 San Diego Comic Con

Greenwich Reads Together returns this fall with the spotlight on Ray Bradbury’s classic novel Fahrenheit 451.  Before his death, Bradbury was a frequent guest speaker at San Diego’s Comic Con (SDCC) for many years. Courtesy of writer Mark Evanier’s News From Me blog, here’s a post describing what it was like having Bradbury speak at the convention.

Also on Evanier’s blog post is an embedded video (be sure to scroll down), running about 40 minutes, of Bradbury speaking to convention attendees at the 2004 SDCC.  There, the author discusses not only Fahrenheit 451 & his other works, but also how he predicted virtual reality decades before it came about, writing for the comedy team Burns & Allen, and advice on writing.  Check it out.
