Even in uncertain times, one thing is, of course, always certain: taxes! The 2020 tax deadline is still looming, although the IRS has officially pushed the deadline back to July 15 for both filing and paying your taxes. The library has a few resources available to help you complete your taxes.
VITA TAX PREP ASSISTANCE
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) has opened an online portal for tax prep assistance. You will need 30 minutes to complete the introductory form, and then VITA will schedule a one-hour appointment on the portal to help you finish your return.
To get started, visit VITA’s website and fill out the form.
For more information on this service, what forms you will need, and how to speak to a VITA representative, check out this FAQ: Virtual VITA FAQS 03252020.
