JOIN THE SUMMER READING CLUB!

LadyBug ReadingCatch the Reading Bug by joining the Summer Reading Club at Greenwich Library. The program for students grades K-5 is designed to encourage the joy of reading through activities, games, incentives and a summer full of special programs. Preschoolers and younger siblings can join the fun too, with the Library’s "Read to Me" program. Going away for the summer? A child traveling can still join the club and even send Greenwich Library postcards from camp or vacation with their favorite summer reads! Registration for Summer Reading begins Monday June 16th and continues through the summer. Call 203-622-7940 for further details and register by visiting the Greenwich Library Children’s Room.


Catch the Reading Bug Summer Events include:

Bug With Books
  • Summer Reading Kick Off Saturday June 21 at 2pm with the Oddfellows Traveling Circus, whose performers are children age 12-16.
  • Zoo Station from the Children’s Museum of Connecticut will visit Saturday July 12 at 11am with rainforest animals.
  • Catch the Reading Bug Music Time with Margie Warner Thursday July 17 at 3pm.
  • The Art and Science of Bee Keeping with Stuart Woronecki of Stonewall apiary who will visit Saturday July 26 at 11am with a real beehive!
  • Summer Reading Finale Saturday Aug 9 at 11am features Magic with Ed Popielarczyk.

You Can Be an Entomologist!

Tuesday July 15 @ 3:30 p.m.

Welcome the Greenwich Audubon who will present "Insect Lives," a fascinating look at live specimens. Register on or after July.
