The Greenwich Library opened its Health Information Center in October 2003. The center provides access to resources and information on a variety of health related topics.
The Health Information Center houses more than 100 reference books and two dedicated computer workstations with printers enable patrons to search for health information on the Internet.
The library owns more that 5000 circulating books on health related topics and has print subscriptions to 40 health and wellness periodicals. Community health events and services are advertised on the center’s bulletin board.
Free programs on health and wellness topics are offered periodically to the public. Many of these programs are cosponsored with Greenwich Hospital as well as town agencies such as the Greenwich Health Department and the Greenwich Senior Center.
