Emotional eating is a cycle of behavior that begins with an emotional trigger that is then "comforted" with food. This cycle leads not only to weight gain but a lifelong unhealthy relationship with food. By identifying triggers, managing stress and changing thought patterns, one can break free from the emotional eating cycle.Library: Greenwich Library
This seminar will discuss the basics of emotional eating, teach coping strategies for negative emotions that lead to emotional eating and will provide resources to address the cycle of emotional eating.
Dr. Jennifer Denkin is a trained health psychologist with specialties in weight management, emotional eating and bariatric surgery.
