SUMMARY;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Teen Read Week Event:: Author Annabel Monaghan
DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Annabel Monaghan will be on hand to talk about her new book "A Girl Named Digit." Described as The DaVinci Code meets Clueless, Monaghan's first novel for teens is about Farrah "Digit" Higgins, a brilliant 17 year-old math whiz from California who uncovers a terrorist plot. Among the many topics Annabel will be discussing are the writing & publishing process, writing as a career and creating strong characters. She will also lead students in writing exercises to help them develop characters and plots that may show up in novels of their own. This program is open to students in grades 6-12. Required registration begins Monday October 1. Please contact Teen Services Librarian Margaret Walsh for more information.
