BETTERDEBATE.pngBeginning this Saturday, July 5th, and running every Saturday until August 9th between 11 am-1pm, Greenwich Library's Student Leadership Council will work with middle school students and underclassmen in  high school the opportunity to learn about debate.

The Student Leaders will provide a lesson for the first half hour on a skill used in one or both of the two kinds of debate that high school Connecticut debaters participate in. For the rest of the time, they'll either break off into teams or will stage a debate with the students, depending on the size of the group.

This opportunity will give future varsity-level debaters the skill-set, confidence, and understanding necessary for success. If you're a student from around Greenwich who's in grades 8-12, and you're interested in debating, stop by the Jewel Room on the first floor of Greenwich Library at 11:00 am this Saturday!
