AGRT%202-COLOR_sm.pngs part of our 2013 Greenwich Reads Together Program, the Rotary Club of Greenwich will sponsor an essay contest for students in grades 6-12 attending school in Greenwich.  Two $250 cash prizes will be awarded, one for grades 6-8 and one for grades 9-12, to students whose essays are judged to be the best in answering the question: How does your reading of When the Emperor was Divine (or Eyes of the Emperor) affect your thinking about prejudice toward immigrants and other minorities in the United States today? In your response, you may want to consider other historical moments of scapegoating.  The deadline to submit your essay is April 24, 2013.  See details here.
