Acing the ACT; success in math and science

ACT_logo4.gifThis FREE 4-hour program covers 2 of the ACT's four sections.

For the math portion, you will review those components from the SAT math seminar that are most relevant to the ACT. You will see how the tricks, tools and techniques can be applied to ACT questions, and you will learn a few additional math relationships that are specific to the ACT.

From there you will move on to the science section, and learn that this section is less a test of science than one would think. You will cover the different types of passages (there are 3) and the ways to attack the passage types. You will also learn that this is more a test of your ability to organize and research, and we'll show you some ways to enhance your skills as they apply to the test.

The program is free but registration is required. Email the Teen Services Librarian or call 622-7915 if you have any questions.
