StudentLeaders123112.pngOur Teen Advisory group, Teens4Teens is now going to be known as the Student Leadership Council.  (Click here for details.)  The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 2nd at 7:00 pm.  As before, students, now from grades 7-12, get together at Teen Central on the second floor using library resources to initiate, develop & realize projects relevant to their peer group in exchange for community service hours.

Students will assist the library to provide essential programs to their particular age group as well as contributing to the library community. So come prepared! Snacks & refreshments will be served.  Email us here, or call Ed and/or Everett at (203) 622-7918 or 625-6507 for more info. Hope to see you there!

Holiday Hours.pngGreenwich Library will be open Monday, December 24th, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm.  The library will be closed on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25th, and reopen at regular hours (9:00am-9:00 pm) on Wednesday December 26th. 

The following week, we'll close at 5:00 pm on Monday, December 31st and stay closed all day New Year's Day,Tuesday,  January 1st.  We'll reopen again at regular hours on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013.  For more info, check our online calendar

Students who need to work on assignments and need to access our resources from home (or wherever) shouldn't worry.  Our Homework Helpers page (click here) offers links to various research sites that can assist you.  And if you need a break, check out our Cool Sites page here.  Just go to our homepage here to get to these and other site links we offer.  (And check out this volunteer opportunity we're offering that begins on January 2nd!)

Beaded Ornaments Program On December 20th

Beaded.pngStudents in grades 6 and up are invited to this fun beaded ornament program, which will be on Thursday, December 20th at 4:00pm in the second floor Meeting Room.

Using wire forms and chenille stems, glass and acrylic beads of many different styles, colors, and sizes, artist Katie Stevenson will show you how to create your own holiday beaded ornaments.  Space is limited so call Teen Services Librarian Margaret Walsh to reserve a place. Find out more by clicking here.
