September 30 is this year's first meeting of the Middle School Book Club! Join us in the 2nd floor meeting room, 4:30 - 5:30 for snacks and a book discussion. Open to students in grades 6, 7 and 8 this month's title is Freak the Mighty by Rodman Philbrick. At the beginning of eighth grade, learning disabled Max and his new friend Freak, whose birth defect has affected his body but not his brilliant mind, find that when they combine forces they make a powerful team.
