Translator/editor Wyatt Mason has done a terrific job capturing the "metrical & musical rigor unique to French poetry" that made Rimbaud's works stand out over the past century and a half. Many American poets such as William Carlos Williams, Lawrence Ferlinghetti & Charles Bukowski, not to mention songwriter Bob Dylan, have been influenced by Rimbaud's style.
