About Lost in the Stacks

Stephen Schmidt is a librarian in the Resources Management team at Greenwich Library. Despite not being as young as he used to be, and having even less time than he used to have, he remains a pop culture junkie. Favorite things include British movies from the 60's and 70's, shopping for used vinyl and acting dorky with his kids. He has no idea how much money he has in his 401k but can tell you exactly what's on his iPOD.

In writing this blog he hopes to help our library users look beyond the best seller lists.

While we have plenty of bestsellers and popular items here at the Greenwich Library, our collections also contain hundreds of "hidden gems." Books you may not have heard of or read about,  CD's by bands that, for one reason or another, may have passed you by. Sometimes you have to dig a bit deeper, take some chances, set aside that James Patterson novel.
