Sandy Relief Book Drive- Now through Friday

Greenwich Library is partnering with Literacy in Motion to collect new and lightly used books. The materials will be used in temporary pop-up libraries in NYC disaster zones to improve the quality of life of those affected by Hurricane Sandy. Additional materials may be used to replenish school library collections that were damaged by the storm. Books will be distributed primarily to the Rockaways, Staten Island, and Coney Island. 

Items will be accepted through Friday, November 30 at the Main Library Lending Desk between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. 

Acceptable items include
New and lightly used children's books 
New and lightly used books for adults 
New children's coloring or activity books 

Unacceptable items include
Material that would be inappropriate for public display 
Material in poor condition 
Magazines 
Textbooks
