Wolfgang Amadeus Schmutzinberry at Cole Auditorium

The Ashforth Children's Concert Series presents a performance by "Wolfgang Amadeus Schmutzinberry," Mozart's "less talented relative," on March 24 at 2 p.m. in the Cole Auditorium.

Schmutzinberry on Stage for Lincoln Center.jpgRami Vamos, a guitarist, composer and teaching artist for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, will play Schmutzinberry, the world's most mediocre composer, who has stumbled upon a very powerful musical composition that can heal the sick, cause the sad to laugh hysterically, and make old people young again. Unfortunately, he has lost the manuscript. So he travels to America to look for it, and in the process discovers different musical styles, including folk, jazz, blues, rock and roll and classical.


Vamos will be joined by his wife, the violinist Nurit Pact.

Free unassigned tickets, six per family, will be will be available for pick up at the auditorium at 12 p.m. Doors will open at 1:45 p.m.

The Ashforth Concert Series is designed to expose children to classical music performance. The concert is free and open to the public through the support of Georgie and Henry A. Ashforth.
