La Piccola Opera will perform Little Red Riding Hood, on Saturday, December 3 at 2 p.m. in the Cole Auditorium, as a fundraiser to benefit Greenwich Library. Tickets are $50 for premium seats (limited) and $25 for general seating. The performance is appropriate for ages six and older.
La Piccola Opera - opera in miniature - brings opera into the lives of children and teenagers in order to expose them to its timeless beauty and open their ears to a different kind of music through abridged, English narrated adaptations. Many studies show a strong correlation between a child's exposure to music, especially complex pieces such as opera and classical, and their mathematics and science ability. The performance will be about one hour long. This program is made possible through the support of the Greenwich Library Board of Trustees and contributions by generous donors.
