Click your heels together "tres veces" and take a magical journey when the Friends of Greenwich Library present Theatreworks USA's The Yellow Brick Road on Saturday, November 19 at 2 p.m. in the Cole Auditorium. The Yellow Brick Road is an all-new salsa and merengue-infused musical inspired by The Wizard of Oz.
Dora, a modern Latin American teenager, would much rather hang out at the mall in jeans and sneakers than attend her coming of age quinceañera while wearing a frilly old-fashioned pink dress. But at her fifteenth birthday fiesta, Dora gets swept away to a strange new land and discovers that to find her way back home, she must embrace both sides of her cultural identity, and learn how to dance to her own unique rhythm.
Sponsored by the Friends Children's Series, this 60-minute musical is recommended for ages 6 and up. Pick up free assigned seating tickets (limit six per person) at the auditorium doors at 12 p.m. Return when doors open at 1:50 pm.
