On Sunday, November 6 at 4 pm, Greenwich Library will present The Orion String Quartet in the Cole Auditorium.
One of the most sought-after ensembles in the United States, OSQ has been consistently praised for the fresh perspective and individuality it brings to performances. In addition to classic works of the standard quartet literature, OSQ remains on the cutting edge of programming with their wide-ranging commissions from composers Chick Corea, David Del Tredici, John Harbison, Leon Kirchner, Marc Neikrug, Peter Lieberson and Wynton Marsalis. Their affiliation with the Chamber Music Society and SUNY Purchase further attests to the esteem in which OSQ is held in chamber music circles.
Their performance in the Library's Cole Auditorium will include Bach, Webern, Mozart and Brahms.
The concert is free and open to all. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. For more information, please contact David Waring at (203) 622-7917.
