Networking activities should generate leads and opportunities and allow you to meet new people and develop mutually beneficial relationships. Join us on Tuesday, November 9, at 6:30 p.m., in the Cole Auditorium when expert David Volkman presents the Art of Effective Networking.
"You never know where your next opportunity will come from," says Volkman, a financial planner who developed his first business at age 15 and sold it upon high school graduation for $800,000.
Participants will learn strategies, tactics and tools including creating an effective elevator speech and mastering your body language. Volkman will explain the give-and-take nature of referrals, and how best to utilize them once accrued.
Volkman is the Managing Director at RLP Capital, Inc., an independent financial services firm that specializes in providing comprehensive financial planning and wealth management solutions to individuals, families, fiduciaries, small businesses and corporations. He entered the finance industry at the age of 20 while still attending college.
Volkman utilizes a highly organized approach to updating his database of contacts with pertinent information, which increases the likelihood of providing higher level referrals. He also developed a detailed action plan to stay in touch with clients, contacts, and referral sources.
This program is presented in partnership with Fairfield County SCORE and the Greenwich Library Peterson Business Series. Free and open to the public. For more information, or to register, contact Mary Cuff at (203) 625-6560 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
