Friends of Greenwich Library Serve Up Milkshake

milkshake_hiRezfield1.jpgThe Friends of Greenwich Library will present Milkshake on Saturday, April 3 at 2 p.m. in the Cole Auditorium. Milkshake writes and performs music that is as musically sophisticated as it is lyrically lighthearted and child centered. Though never condescending, they speak a kind of universally appealing language; a language familiar to young and old, child and parent, music fans of all ages.

Founded in 2002 by singer Lisa Mathews and guitarist Mikel Gehl, Milkshake has landed songs and videos on Noggin, PBS Kids and Discovery Kids' Emmy-winning ToddWorld cartoon. The Los Angeles Times called Milkshake "a fizzy contemporary band that really rocks without losing sight of its target audience."

Pick up free assigned tickets (limit 6 per person) at the Cole Auditorium door starting at noon, then return when doors open at 1:50 p.m. The show is appropriate for ages 3-8.

This concert; along with many other free lectures, author talks and workshops; is made possible by contributions to the Friends of the Greenwich Library. For more information, please contact the Friends Office at 622-7938.
