Tessera Quartet to Kick off 2010 Ashforth Children's Concert Series

A compelling mosaic of four accomplished young soloists, this New York City-based classical string quartet captivates audiences with its glowing sound, energetic presence and bold interpretations.

Holiday Hours for Greenwich Library

On Thursday, December 24, Greenwich Library and its Byram Shubert and Cos Cob branches will close at 1:00 p.m. in observance of Christmas Eve. The Byram Shubert Branch Library will be open from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., a change from its normal Thursday hours. The libraries will be closed on Friday, December 25 in observance of Christmas and reopen on Saturday, December 26 at 9:00 a.m.

On Thursday, December 31, Greenwich Library and its Byram Shubert and Cos Cob branches will close at 5:00 p.m. in observance of New Year's Eve. The Byram Shubert Branch Library will be open from 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m., a change from its normal Thursday hours. The libraries will be closed on Friday, January 1 in observance of New Year's Day and reopen on Saturday, January 2 at 9:00 a.m.

Concert Singers to Accompany Musicians from Marlboro in Return to Cole Auditorium

The Musicians from Marlboro return to Greenwich Library with a new group of esteemed performers, which for the first time will feature two vocalists. The touring extension of the renowned Marlboro Music Festival in Vermont will appear as part of the Friends of Greenwich Library's Cole Concert Series on Sunday, January 31, at 4:00 p.m., in the Cole Auditorium. Peter Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg L.P., to be Honored at Library's 2010 Peterson Business Award Dinner

Peter T. Grauer, Chairman of Bloomberg L.P., will be honored on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, as the seventh recipient of Greenwich Library's Peterson Business Award. Former Chairman & CEO of JPMorgan Chase, William B. Harrison, Jr., will present this prestigious award to Mr. Grauer. Mr. Harrison was the third recipient of the Peterson Business Award.

Grammy Nominee Brady Rymer Returns to Greenwich Library

The Greenwich Library welcomes back 2009 Grammy nominees Brady Rymer and the Little Band That Could on Saturday, January 30, at 2 p.m., in the Cole Auditorium. All-American roots-rock with a feel-good R&B foundation is Rymer's calling card. Kids love the energy and Rymer's magnetic charm, while the band's musicianship is something even the most discerning music-loving parent can appreciate.
