Lunch will be at the renowned Union League Café, housed in the historic Sherman Building in the heart of New Haven. After lunch, the group will take a private tour of the Irving S. Gilmore Music Library, constructed in 1997 in an unused courtyard within the Yale Campus in the Sterling Memorial Library. The architectural design for the music library is of great interest, with its dramatic entrance designed within an old space. The library is considered one of the great archival music libraries of the world.
The bus leaves the library parking lot at 8:30 a.m. and returns at approximately 5 p.m. Mail a check to "Friends Trips," 101 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830 or leave it at the Welcome Desk on the main floor of the Library. Your reservation will be confirmed by phone. The cost for this trip is $80 Friends and $90 Guests, including lunch.
