Take an approximately 2 ½-hour boat ride exploring Greenwich's waterfront from a historical perspective on Saturday, September 19, at 11 a.m., at the Island Beach Ferry. Captain Henry Marx, of Landfall Navigation, will narrate Greenwich's maritime history as you cruise along the coast on the Island Beach Ferry Boat.
The trip, $15 for Friends and $20 for all other, is sponsored by the Friends of the Greenwich Library and the Parks and Recreation Department. Make checks payable to "Friends of Greenwich Library: Boat Trip. Payment may be delivered to the Welcome Desk or mailed to the Library, 101 West Putnam Avenue, Greenwich CT 06830. Please include a return address and phone number; confirmation will be received by phone. Bring a snack if you wish; bottled water and cookies will be served.
