Greenwich Library has relaunched PrepMe, a new SAT test preparation service, to local students for free.
PrepMe is a premium test preparation company dedicated to bringing high-quality, customized learning to students across the world. PrepMe makes customized test preparation affordable and accessible while providing highly impactful results and learning for students and their families.
"With the exception of expensive private tutors, what's out there has always been a mass-market approach," said PrepMe CEO Karan Goel in an interview with CNN/Money. "We're changing the way test preparation is taught."
PrepMe will identify strengths and weaknesses and create a custom week-by-week schedule to help teens raise their SAT scores. The course is available at no cost to students with just a library card. To access the program 24 hours a day, log on through Greenwich Library's website www.greenwichlibrary.org.
"Particularly in this economy, this service provides a tremendous value for Greenwich students," said Greenwich Library Teen Services Librarian Margaret Walsh. "It also offers convenience for busy students, who can prepare their own schedules without parents having to worry about shuttling them back and forth to classes."
"Test preparation classes in our community can cost anywhere from $600 to $1200 or more. Offering PrepMe for free to local students is just one more way the library saves you money," said Walsh.
