Streamline Audiobooks to Your Apple Device

audiobooks.jpgStreamline Greenwich Library's audiobook collection directly to your Apple device with the latest update to OverDrive, a resource for downloading eBooks and digital audiobooks.

With a Greenwich Library and Perrot Library card, patrons can browse and download best selling digital titles to a computer or compatible portable device at home, in the office or from anywhere in the world. The collection includes a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction including mystery, romance, biography, business, careers and more.

OverDrive Media Console (OMC) v3.2 for Windows® will allow users to transfer WMA audiobooks directly to their iPod®, iPhone™ and iPod Touch®; send MP3 audiobooks to your iTunes Library with the newly developed Transfer Wizard; and burn audiobook parts to CD in just a few clicks using the Burn Wizard.

Users with iTunes® (or later) can use the Transfer Wizard to send titles to their iPod Shuffle®. Formerly, iPod Shuffle users had to transfer to their devices using iTunes. OMC v3.2 works in conjunction with iTunes v8.1.0.52 to transfer content to the device using Transfer Wizard.

OMC users can take advantage of a new playback option wherein OMC automatically resumes playback from the most recently played point. The other playback options are still available, and users can customize playback as they see fit. OverDrive now automatically alerts users of software releases and news.
