The scheduled screening of the award-winning documentary Wordplay on Friday, June 12 about Will Shortz and the American Crossword Puzzle Tournament will be followed by a special 32-min. mockumentary Wordploy!, a personalized spoof on the Tournament.

Produced by and starring Ed Stein (who has presented several Library programs), Wordploy! was shot and edited by Greenwich resident Ann Dietz and features Bob Sloane of Old Greenwich along with puzzlemaster Will Shortz, Patrick Creadon (producer of Wordplay), Phil Donahue, and a cast of hundreds.

"Wordploy! promises a lot of laughs at my expense!" says Stein.

The Friday Films Series is sponsored by the Friends of Greenwich Library and is free and open to the public. Doors open at 7:50 p.m.
