Author Talk: USS Connecticut

USS.jpgAuthor Mark Albertson will discuss his book, USS Connecticut: Constitution State Battleship, on Tuesday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room at Greenwich Library.

The USS Connecticut was the flagship for the epic global journey of the "Great White Fleet" of 16 U.S. battleships. The 14-month voyage around the world began in 1907.

Mr. Albertson is also the author of They'll Have to Follow You! The Triumph of the Great White Fleet, which relates the adventures of the entire task force. His next book, On History: a Treatise, is due out early this year.

This lecture is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required. For more information, please call Local History Librarian Carl White at 203-622-7948.
