The Job-Hunt.org site offers some important tips on how to handle being laid off (downsized) from your job.  Among the pointers they mention are how to continue health insurance and asking for a letter from your employer stating you were laid off as part of a general comapny wide layoff and not because of performance issues.  For more info, click here.
