Cult Films

Cult Films now showing logo

A new semi-monthly series of programs devoted to various classic movies from Hollywood, Europe and the rest of the world. Cult films have the ability to touch their intended following, influencing anyone even remotely interested in film production. It's these so-called "fringe" or over-the-top movies that Greenwich Library Cult Films, through our extensive catalog, intends to expose to a much wider and appreciative audience.

Librarian and film buff Ed Morrissey will lead a pre- and post-screening discussion.

"You're Next" (2013)

Aubrey and Paul Davison (Barbara Crampton, Rob Moran) decide to celebrate their wedding anniversary by inviting their four children and their significant others to a family reunion at their remote and slightly rundown weekend estate. But the family reunion goes awry when their home comes under siege by a mask-wearing team of crossbow-bearing assailants. The family has no idea who's attacking them or why. Solid (and gory) comedy thriller from director Adam Wingard & writer Simon Barrett. Rated R for violence and language. Color. 95 minutes.
